The Tower Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of the Moscow Project, a new exhibition by the British photography collective MAP6. Although Moscow is often talked about, it has been a place seldom visited. Its complicated politics, complex language and unstable economy have, until now, made it a difficult place to visit and photograph. Lately Russia has adopted a more relaxed approach to tourism. Due to this sudden rise in tourism, Moscow is rapidly going through an unparalleled transformation. Urgently embracing modernity, yet grasping onto its past, it was the ideal time for the members of MAP6 to document this city in flux. The exhibition runs until 10th May and full details can be found here the MAP6 Facebook Page.
