I love, love photographing the Electric Elephant Festival in Croatia… I have finally got around to blogging about the 2011 festival ..just in time for the 2012 festival! For 5 years the festival has been situated in the small town of Petrcane near to Zadar on a beautiful peninsula site of pine trees, a beach terrace and Tiki cocktail bar, a circular outdoor stage adorned with disco balls and the 1960’s designed Barbarellas discotheque. The festival is like no other and is an “escape with like minded souls that invokes the original spirit of Ibiza of the seventies and early eighties”. 2011’s line-up featured Ralph Lawson, Balearic Mike, Low Life , The Unabombers, Derrick Carter to name a few. For 2012 the festival has a whole new beginning and has moved down the Adriatic coast to the beautiful town of Tisno and will run back to back with the Garden Festival from 5 July.
